* School Orchestra Concert Thursday 18th December 2008
All children who play an instrument have the chance to participate in the school orchestra, and enjoy working towards and performing the annual Christmas orchestra concert; with mince pies followed the good cheer!
* Northern Ballet Visit 12th December 2008
Northern ballet came to meet us ! The dancers came and spoke to us about their love of dancing and how they prepared for a career in the ballet. We saw their special dancing shoes; pink for girls and black for boys.We met some of the company, through a DVD presentation. We asked lots of questions about training, travel, listening to the ballet mistress and the motivations and challenges for dancers.
* Yrs 3 & 4 At The Otley Victorian Christmas Fayre 12th December 2008
In traditional Victorian Costume, the children sang carols and traditional songs at the annual Otley Victorian Fayre.
* Recording Superstars November 2008 - Children and staff recorded a Christmas CD with carols and favourite Christmas songs. £7.99 each - cheques made payable to BPS PTA. CDs available after 29-11-08. Cheery listening for grandparents, Mums and Dads!
* Global Book Week 24th November 2008
Children dressed in the colours of nations from Tobago, to United Arab Emirates and shared books and stories from around the world. Year 2 children created their own Ananci the African spider tales. First Steps Nursery children came and listened to the older ones read.
* Town Hall Singers 19th November 2008 - Mrs Knight who coaches the school choir, took the choir to sing at the Town Hall.
* Steel Pan Workshop 14th November 2008 - steel pans in school; year 4s enjoyed the big sounds of the steel pans,then learned to play some easy!
* Stephen Lawrence Award Ceremony; Mrs Lawson, Mrs Blunn, Mrs Hodgetts (Governor) & four proud pupils attended the Stephen Lawrence Award ceremony. Bramhope Primary awarded level 1.
* Rama & Sita Indian Dance Workshop - October 2008. Folklore and Dance - re-enacted by school children and staff. Lively, engaging and fun!
